Noyes School of Rhythm Summer Program

July 1st-July 20th, 2024

This summer, we will offer three weeks of Noyes Rhythm summer programming. These weeks will follow a Monday arrival-Sunday departure schedule for each session. We will offer traditional Noyes programming in the mornings, including recreation class, technique, and reading, with afternoons dedicated to a range of activities including exploring the property, swimming, and the invitation to create artwork or sing. Evenings are dedicated to improvisational movement (Playtime), with a culminating evening of Saturday night performances. We will share daily work and enjoy a full program offerings as well as rest and relaxation.

If you are planning to participate for more than one week, please note that the last meal on Sunday will be breakfast, and there will be no programming or other meals offered on-site until the Monday evening supper cookout. Monday programming will begin with an afternoon playtime (improvisational dance session) at 5pm, followed by a campfire cookout and orientation to the week.

We are offering two types of weekly rates: cooperative work participant or retreat participant.

ALL participants will take an on-site rapid test upon arrival.

In the long summer days at camp folks can always be found swimming, reading, resting, gardening, helping out, visiting, communing with nature, or following their own muse. The schoolhouse studio will be open for all varieties of visual art projects. This week, teachers Meg and Abbey will direct a Masque workshop (myth- based collaborative dance work).  The Schoolhouse will be open for those who love to paint, sculpt or draw.
