Noyes Rhythm has been defined as the development of a natural sense of the rhythms of nature and creativity through freedom of movement. Rhythm overflows from movement into our daily life at camp, deepening our physical and spiritual well-being. Join us, and rediscover the simple joys of living in the present and feeling the earth under your feet.

The Summer Program at Shepherd’s Nine provides for daily meals, periods of rest and quiet, periods of togetherness, and the experience of Noyes Rhythm throughout.

Our farmhouse bell signals times of classes, meals and other gatherings. Glorious mornings are devoted to Noyes Rhythm movement classes and readings. Afternoons are for artistic expression, rest, time in nature, music making, other Noyes Rhythm experiences, and camp explorations. Evening dancing is an invitation to creative movement with beautiful live music by lantern light or under the moon and stars.

Wholesome home-cooked meals are expertly prepared and served at the Farmhouse for breakfast, mid-day dinner and supper. Meals at Noyes are a social time that is a healthy part of the shared experience. They also serve as the occasion for community announcements.

Saturday evening is our own performance/Improv theater night and Sunday supper is at the campfire with songs. There are many lovely local places–hiking, restaurants, farms– to visit in the area on either end of your visit.
